Insurance & Costs

The most common question we get. Here is the straight answer, including the part most practices bury.

The short answer

If your care is covered by workers’ compensation, no-fault after a car accident, or a lien / letter of protection arranged by your attorney, we accept it directly.

If you are using commercial health insurance, we are an out-of-network provider. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Not sure which applies to you? Call us at (212) 355-5555 and we will tell you before you book.

Common questions

What does "out of network" mean for me?

It means we do not have a contracted rate with your commercial insurer. Many plans still cover a share of out-of-network care, but the amount varies and you may owe more than you would in network. Call your insurer — or call us at (212) 355-5555 and we will help you check before you book.

This does not apply to workers’ compensation, no-fault or lien cases, which we handle directly.

Do I need a referral?

For a work injury in New York, no — you do not need a referral to see a WCB-authorized doctor. For a commercial plan, it depends on your plan; check whether yours requires one before your visit.

What if I was hurt in a car accident?

No-fault covers your treatment. Bring your claim number if you have one. More about auto accident care.

Can I get an estimate before my visit?

What you pay depends on your coverage and on the care you need. Call us at (212) 355-5555 before your visit and we will go over what to expect.
