About Dr. Huish
Thirty years into practice, Dr. Stephen Huish still describes his job the same way: competent, compassionate, comprehensive. He is a physiatrist treating orthopedic and neurologic conditions without surgery — back and neck pain, joint injuries, and the long recoveries that follow accidents at work or on the road. Patients call him knowledgeable and professional, and in the same breath, relatable.
Dr. Huish completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at NYU Langone’s Rusk Institute, where he was administrative chief resident, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has built and led multi-specialty practices bringing physiatry, orthopedics, spine surgery, pain medicine and therapy under one roof. He sees patients in Manhattan, the Bronx, New Hyde Park and Staten Island.
