About Dr. Tolat
Dr. Raj Tolat practises the non-surgical half of orthopedic care. A physiatrist by training, his work is figuring out where pain is actually coming from, then building a plan of injections, therapy and time that gets someone functioning again. A patient summed up the experience in a sentence: terrific bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable.
Dr. Tolat trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as chief resident, and has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine since 2000. He formerly directed the PM&R residency program at North Shore-LIJ, and holds an MBA in healthcare management. He sees patients at New Hyde Park.
