About Dr. Bursztyn
Dr. Mark Bursztyn treats the knee, shoulder and elbow injuries that keep people out of the game and off the job — from ACL and meniscus tears to rotator cuff repair and tennis elbow. Patients tend to mention two things about him: that recovery went faster than they expected, and that he told them plainly what to expect beforehand.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Downstate, where he received the Orthopedic Surgery Award, and a sports medicine fellowship at the Nirschl Orthopaedic Center in Virginia — the practice that pioneered tennis elbow surgery. He served as an assistant team physician in the NFL and at George Mason University, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Bursztyn sees patients in Manhattan, Kew Gardens, Brooklyn, New Hyde Park and Ronkonkoma.
