About Dr. McCulloch
Dr. Kenneth McCulloch founded this practice in 2014 on a simple idea: that a patient facing hip or knee surgery deserves an unhurried conversation about it first. He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip, knee and shoulder replacement, arthroscopy and sports medicine, and much of his work involves helping people decide whether they need surgery at all — joint preservation before joint replacement, wherever that is realistic.
Fellowship-trained in adult reconstruction at Stanford and board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. McCulloch is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and an attending surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian and Lenox Hill Hospital. He has taught direct anterior hip replacement to surgeons across the country. He sees patients in Kew Gardens and New Hyde Park, and is fluent in Spanish.

What patients say
Dr. McCulloch and his staff are second to none. Unlike many ‘paint by the numbers, cookie cutter care’ physicians and surgeons, Dr. McCulloch takes the time to get to know his patients, find out about them and what their ailments are, then works with them to come up with a comprehensive plan to help treat their injuries and help provide them with the greatest amount of pain relief possible.
Dr. McCulloch is amazing, kind and patient. My knee surgery went great. My recovery is moving along well. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. And his team is amazing as well. New York Sports and Joints is a one stop shop. All of your needs are taken care of.
